A celebrities father fights the medical industry for getting his child hooked

Finally a parent is fighting the medical industry, by demanding an investigation into medical doctors prescribing highly addictive drugs to his child. While it may be for the wrong reasons, the father is Michael Lohan, who appears to have a need to be in the press almost as much as his daughter lindsay lohan. regardless of his motive, THIS PARENT SEEMS TO STAND ALONE AGAINST MEDICAL DOCTORS.

It disturbed dr. sober companion, that addicted inmates, could keep their prescriptions filled even when incarcerated. There goes the thought of going cold turkey.

A couple months ago, Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle, was arrested for possible over prescribing drugs to his patients, something that was revealed in his case was very interesting to dr. sober companion, and that was that the state board had records of what doctors prescribed what medications and how much they prescribed. This information I thought, could be so useful to determine which medical doctor was a doctor feelgood, the kind that addicts shop for. This list would be so revealing, if it made it public. The question is, can the attorney general get this list, and start going after the doctors? Other questions might arise, what would be considered prescribing to much? A very good question, but the answer is much easier to determine. The answer is which doctors are on the top of the spectrum, of over prescribing. While Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle, was the number 1 prescriber of highly addictive drugs, who else is in the top 10 of over prescribing. Could we at least get the top 5? i would be a little hapier if we could even get the runner up, to the king of over prescribing Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle.

Its said that the law of california is broken, when overprescribing occurs. The question for a long time has been will the medical board keep quiet about the list, or will they reveal the scumbags who are killing your son and daughter, by first getting them addicted when they are young, and then by continuing to give them their drugs. Mr. Lohan is right about this situation, and what it might do to stop these doctors from operating. Mr. lohan wants them to held accountable for their actions, and they should.
Is your son or daughter getting their fix, legally through prescription? Isn't it time you join Michael Lohan in his fight against unscrupulous doctors who addic their children.

Did Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle kill your son or daughter or just get them addicted?

So they got one medical doctor out of thousands just like him, that killed your son and daughter, or got them addicted to drugs. Its not only the medical doctors they need to go after, but the pharmaceutical companies and the politicians that gave them a monopoly and immunity.

Dr. Sober Companion is happy, that one more medical doctor is off the streets, but now the families of all the victims need to come forward and make a bigger case against the pharmaceutical companies for causing over doses, unneeded deaths and unstoppable addictions, that are fueled by the medical industry.

Dr. Sober companion is hoping and praying that another medical doctor does not take the place of this criminal, that killed your son and daughter.

WEST HOLLYWOOD PSYCHIATRIST, OFFICE MANAGER ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF WRITING HUGE NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ADDICTIVE DRUGS WITHOUT EXAMINING CASH-PAYING ‘PATIENTS’
A doctor who maintains a clinic in West Hollywood and his office manager were arrested this afternoon on federal charges of conspiring to distribute controlled substances for writing thousands of prescriptions for highly addictive drugs for “patients” he did not examine and who simply paid cash for the prescriptions.
Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle, 37, of Hollywood, was arrested without incident at his residence by special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and officers with the Redondo Beach Police Department.
Antonie “Tony” Phillips, 28, of the Koreatown district of Los Angeles, was also arrested without incident this afternoon at Kuemmerle’s clinic.
Both men were charged in a criminal complaint filed on Friday in United States District court that accuses both of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, a charge that carries a penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison.
The arrests follow a joint investigation by the Redondo Beach Police Department and the DEA’s Tactical Diversion Squad, which is charged with investigating all allegations of diversion of legal drugs into the illicit market. The investigation used informants and undercover techniques to develop a 98-page affidavit that outlines how Kuemmerle received patients without appointments, wrote prescriptions for drugs like Adderall and Xanax during meetings that lasted only a few minutes, and took cash payments that he simply stuffed into his pockets.
After analyzing Kuemmerle’s prescribing history and reviewing undercover tapes made at the medical clinic, a San Diego-based psychiatrist concluded that “there is overwhelming evidence that Dr. Kuemmerle is running a quintessential ‘pill mill.’” From the beginning of 2006 through late November 2009, Kuemmerle wrote 14,529 prescriptions for a variety of controlled substances, meaning that he averaged 15 prescriptions during his normal five-hour workday, according to the report by Dr. Steven Ornish, who is also an associate clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego.
“Dr. Kuemmerle’s professional conduct has been egregious, grossly negligent, flagrantly incompetent, and dangerous, and this is not a close call,” Dr. Ornish wrote.
The affidavit in support of the criminal complaint, where Dr. Ornish’s report is summarized, also notes that during 2009 Kuemmerle wrote more prescriptions for the largest available dosage of amphetamine salts – the generic name for Adderall – than any other doctor in California, and that he wrote 3½ times more amphetamine salts prescriptions than the number two prescriber of the drug. The affidavit also notes that an analysis of records from the years 2006 through November 2009 shows that Kuemmerle was the state’s second-largest prescriber of all Schedule II drugs, which include the highly addictive substances amphetamine salts (Adderall), oxycodone (OxyContin), hydrocodone (Vicodin and Norco), and alprazolam (Xanax).
“The misuse of prescription drugs remains a great cause for concern,” said Timothy J. Landrum, the Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in Los Angeles. “In 2008, there were 2.5 million people aged 12 and older who used prescription drugs non-medically for the first time – that is almost 7,000 new users every day. It is unfortunate that any physician would abuse their position of trust in our communities by irresponsibly prescribing these powerful drugs. The DEA is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to ensure physicians such as Dr. Kuemmerle are brought to justice.”
Kuemmerle is a physician specializing in psychiatry who obtained his medical license in 2004. He operates a clinic on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, where Phillips is the office manager. According to the affidavit, Phillips sometimes initially discussed with the “patients” what drugs they wanted, and he often prepared prescriptions for Kuemmerle’s signature.
The investigation into Kuemmerle began in August 2009 when Redondo Beach Police arrested an individual who had offered Adderall for sale on Craigslist. That individual pointed to Kuemmerle as the source of the Adderall, telling the police that Kuemmerle wrote prescriptions on numerous occasions without any medical examination, and that the doctor would write prescriptions for various names during a single visit. According to the affidavit, Kuemmerle later wrote prescriptions for Subutex, which at $15 a tablet was expensive, so the doctor suggested that the individual sell Adderall on Craigslist to help pay for the Subutex, an opiate which is used to treat opiate addictions.
The information from this informant was corroborated by other informants and led to a series of undercover buys by Redondo Beach Police Officers and Special Agents with the DEA, according to the affidavit. The undercover law enforcement officials visited Kuemmerle’s clinic seven times in recent months, and each time they were given prescriptions of Adderall or Xanax in exchange for cash. An undercover police officer received prescriptions for both drugs for $150 during a visit that lasted only eight minutes.
Kuemmerle and Phillips are expected to make their initial court appearances tomorrow in United States District Court in Los Angeles.
A criminal complaint contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
Kuemmerle is the latest medical doctor to be charged in a drug “diversion” case where legitimate medicine is diverted to illegal uses. In an unrelated case, a Duarte doctor is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow afternoon after pleading guilty to distributing huge quantities of painkillers in exchange for cash (see: http://www.justice.gov/usao/cac/pressroom/pr2009/010.html).

In the above press release, an informant was mentioned. Was the informant, david lerman, who posed as patients in many undercover operations for TV shows like NBC's highly rated Today Show? How important was the information provided by the informant for burrying the doctor?

will damage control hide what drugs were in michael jackson system

Strategic communications (damage control) expert Michael Levine was once hired by michael jackson, no doubt for damage control. Who will cover up the drug use now that michael jackson died of over prescribed pharmaceutical medications? Besides demerol, what else was michael jackson addicted to?

Will the parents go after the doctor? What licensed doctors will lose their medical license over michael jackson's death?

In a recent poem by Alex Balk, he wrote:

“Who killed Michael Jackson?”
“I,” said the Doctor,
“From my needle he got that last Demerol shot.
I killed Michael Jackson.”

The truth of the matter is, you don't need to be michael jackson to die of over prescribed medications. You don't need to be michael jackson or a celebrity to be addicted to drugs.

doctors made them addicts with to many prescriptions

medical doctors over-prescribing medications to your children might be the cause of their death, and its becoming much more common. This is for real, and it's scary.

doctors of anna nicole smith have recently turned themselves in, and it is only now bringing light to the issue of the biggest drug pushers are not on the streets, but in medical offices. These doctors went to college, have medical degrees, but are no better than gangsters and hoodlums selling drugs on the street.

Dr. Khristine Eroshevich surrendered Monday to face charges of excessively prescribing drugs to Anna Nicole Smith before the former model's 2007 overdose death at age 39

Eroshevich is charged with conspiring with another doctor and Smith's lawyer-turned-boyfriend Howard K. Stern.

Attorney General Jerry Brown alleges the doctors falsified prescriptions and prescribed unwarranted amounts of highly addictive medications to Smith. Eroshevich's attorney says she was only protecting Smith's privacy.

In addition to conspiracy, the charges filed Thursday include unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance and prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict. Stern faces six felony counts and the doctors face seven each.

Each defendant faces up to five years, eight months in prison, district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.

"Howard K. Stern is the principal enabler, and Dr. Eroshevich and Dr. Kapoor are prescribing drugs excessively to a known addict and using false and fictitious names, all in violation of the law," Brown said.

Medical Board of California spokeswoman Candis Cohen said action would be taken against the two doctors' medical licenses after the criminal proceedings had been resolved. A range of disciplinary action could be taken, depending on the evidence, including possible revocation of their licenses.

chris benoit was given to much prescriptions as well by his doctor:

TMZ has learned that federal prosecutors say doctors over-prescribed testosterone to wrestler Chris Benoit.

The revelation comes to light as new court papers have been filed in the criminal case against Benoit's personal physician, Dr. Phil Astin. The Feds have charged Astin with over-prescribing medication to two other patients, and are expected to file more charges against him.

The AP reports Benoit had roughly ten times the normal level of testosterone in his system when he died.

Cops say Benoit strangled his wife Nancy and 7-year-old son, then hanged himself last June in their Atlanta home. One theory suspects so-called "roid rage" as a reason for the killings.

Then the documentary that alarmed me the most. We sat in little school desks. Then came the statistics of how many of our children are being "diagnosed" with "mental health" issues. They are quickly put on SSRIs, or selective serotonin re uptake inhibitors and what are now commonly called Chemical Babysitters, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Ritalin and a host of others. It stated that the psychiatric community has a goal ..to get as many children diagnosed and on these "medications" as they can. They also stated some alarming facts about the number of high school shootings committed by young men on or having just come off of these "prescribed" drugs which is now just coming to light.

The family of the late Phil Hartman are suing Pfizer and claiming his wife was on Zoloft when she killed him and herself. Kurt Cobain overdosed on Rohypnol in March of 1994 a month before he shot and killed himself. Stevie Nicks said her 8 year addiction to Klonopin was worse than her cocaine addiction. Anna Nicole Smith and her son both died from prescription drug cocktails. And now we are getting a clearer picture of Brittany Spears bizarre behavior, prescription drugs again.

This is a very scary epidemic but not exclusive to movie stars, its as easy for anyone to get the same drugs as it is for the rich and famous thats the point and one they hope we will not wake up to.
