PainKillers - Killed your children. Who do we blame?

Who do we blame for painkillers, killing our children?

Do we blame the doctor's who prescribed the medication? (recommended poison)

Do we blame the pharmaceutical company that made the gun and the bullets?

Do we blame the pharmacies for selling the drugs? (selling the guns and bullets)

Do we blame the parents for supplying their children with the money or insurance to purchase the drugs?

Blaming your children for dying because they took to many drugs you bought them, is an argument that should never have to be made.

In my blog, I have previously wrote to you about, Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle, who was arrested for possible over prescribing drugs to his patients. Well guess what?  Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle is not the only medical doctor who prescribed drugs to his patients, that may have contributed to his patients over dosing and dying.

You may or may not know about another MD in Kansas, who along with his wife ( a registered nurse) were responsible for the overdose deaths of at least 68 children, from pain killer medication. They call the duo "the doctor wife conspiracy", but prosecutors say no matter what you call it, what Dr. Stephen Schneider and his wife, Linda, did was against the law.

Now appealing their convictions in a case highlighting the medical treatment of chronic pain sufferers and prescription drug abuse.

If a jury does not know that taking prescription drugs may kill you, then they are already brain dead. Its like saying, I did not know a loaded gun is dangerous. (One potential juror was excused because he indicated in his questionnaire that he already formed opinions.)

A jury sent the couple to jail for conspiring to profit from illegally prescribing painkillers at a clinic linked to 107 overdoses, 68 of them deadly.

Dr. Stephen Schneider MD, 56, ran the Schneider Medical clinic near Wichita, Kansas. His wife Linda Schneider worked as a nurse.

Linda Schneider's lawyer said this of his client, which is a great description of the epidemic."Most doctors will look at this and think ... 'I am board certified. I have been trained. I can trust all my patients,"' Byers said. "And then the DEA comes through kicking their door, in ninja masks, guns in their faces - and they go away for 20 to life."

The Schneiders are involved in the blame game, which they are part of by default. While the blame could go to anyone of a number of guilty people such as the parents, the pharmaceutical companies, the pharmacies, the doctors. Take your pick as they are all guilty in my eyes. (We sometimes refer to them as enablers)

U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch had little sympathy for the Schneiders.
"The abuse of prescription drugs is a serious national public health concern," he said in a statement. "The evidence in this case of patients suffering from overdose and death points to the fact that when prescription painkillers are unlawfully prescribed, they can be as dangerous as illegal drugs."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tanya Treadway said Stephen and Linda Schneider illegally prescribed painkillers that led to fatal overdoses of 68 patients. The couple is directly charged with contributing to the deaths of 21 people.

Approximately 100 potential jurors have been summoned to the federal courthouse in Wichita, after completing lengthy pre-trial questionnaires. ( The problem is that the jurors are just as guilty as the parents who ignorintly get their children hooked on prescription drugs at an early age. While you may call it brainwashing, or misinformation of the public with billions of dollars in advertising by the pharmaceutical industry that their drugs are safe, we see that this is simply not true)

What did Linda Schneider do wrong?
Linda Schneider is also charged with signing her husband's name on prescriptions when he wasn't in the office.

How quickly did children start dieing?
The same year the clinic opened, prosecutors say, patients began to die from overdoses of painkillers.
Prosecutors say the Schneider Clinic did not change its course of treatment and practices, despite the deaths.
The indictment claims the Schneider Clinic refilled prescriptions earlier and more often than they were suppose to and would continue to give dangerous mixes of narcotics amid signs that the drugs were making the patients worse.

This case should scare other doctors and hospitals who prescribe the same medications.

During the six years the Schneider clinic operated, prosecutors say, it billed more than $10 million for drugs and services.

HAYSVILLE DOCTOR AND WIFE SENTENCED IN DEADLY PRESCRIPTION OVERDOSES
WICHITA, KAN. – A Haysville, Kan., physician and his wife have been sentenced to federal prison for illegally distributing prescription pain killers to patients who overdosed on them, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.

Stephen J. Schneider, 57, was sentenced to 30 years. His wife, Linda K. Schneider, 52, was sentenced to 33 years in federal prison. U.S. District Judge Monti L. Belot pronounced sentence during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Wichita.
“The Schneiders put money before medicine,” U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. “They illegally dispensed prescription pain killers without a medical purpose and without regard to the fact their patients were suffering from physical and mental conditions that made them vulnerable to the risks of addiction, overdose and death.”
“Judge Belot described it well,” Grissom added, “when he called it the story of an avoidable tragedy motivated by greed.”

In June 2010, after a trial that lasted eight weeks, a jury returned guilty verdicts against the Schneiders on charges including conspiracy, unlawful distribution of controlled substances, health care fraud and money laundering. They were taken into custody pending sentencing.
The government’s case focused on 21 of 68 patients who died of drug overdoses, and examined how the Schneiders illegally dispensed controlled prescription drugs, including Oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet), Fentanyl (Actiq, Duragesic), Morphine (Avinza), Methadone, Hydrocodone (Lortab), Diazepam (Valium), Alprazolam (Xanax), and Clonazepam (Klonopin).
During trial, the government’s case centered on the years from 2002 to 2008, when Stephen Schneider saw patients and Linda Schneider, a licensed practical nurse, managed the business of Schneider Medical Clinic at 7030 S. Broadway in Haysville. Prosecutors presented evidence that the Schneiders billed more than $4 million to Medicaid and other health insurance providers while they operated the clinic unlawfully, distributing controlled substances without a legitimate medical purpose, falsifying insurance claims, and engaging in unlawful financial transactions with the proceeds of the crimes.
The jury convicted Stephen Schneider on the following counts:
– one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud (count one)
– four counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substances resulting the death of a patient (counts 2, 3, 4 and 5)
– one count of unlawfully distributing controlled substances, (count 6)
– three counts of health care fraud resulting in a death (counts 7, 8 and 9)
– eight counts of submitting false claims to Medicaid and private insurers (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)
– two counts of money laundering (counts 26 and 28).
Stephen Schneider was acquitted on 15 money laundering counts (counts 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34).
The jury convicted Linda Schneider on the following counts:
– one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud (count one)
– four counts of aiding and abetting unlawful distribution of controlled substances resulting the death of a patient (counts 2, 3, 4 and 5)
– one count of aiding and abetting unlawfully distributing controlled substances, (counts 6)
– three counts of health care fraud unlawfully resulting in a death (counts 7, 8 and 9)
– eight counts of aiding and abetting submitting false claims to Medicaid and private insurers (counts 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17)
– Fifteen counts of money laundering (counts 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34).

Grissom commended the following agencies and individuals who worked on the case: The Department of Health and Human Services, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Kansas Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Tanya Treadway, Jon P. Fleenor, and Special Assistant United States Attorney Jabari Wamble, who prosecuted the case.

What kind of spin do the guilty put on the issues? Byers blamed the prosecutions nationwide of doctors such as Schneider on policy differences over opioid medications between the Food and Drug Administration that has approved them for pain and the Drug Enforcement Administration, which enforces the Controlled Substances Act. "It is a battle between the DEA and FDA – and the doctors are all the casualties," Byers said. Byers said he has talked to other doctors whose clinics were recently raided by the DEA. Along with conspiracy, the Schneiders were found guilty of five counts of unlawfully writing prescriptions and 11 charges of health care fraud. They also faced 17 money laundering counts. Stephen Schneider was found guilty on two of those counts; Linda Schneider was found guilty of 15 money laundering charges. The government is seeking forfeiture of their assets, but it will be up to the judge to later decide the amount. No sentencing date has been set. Each faces up to a life sentence, with the most serious counts carrying a minimum of 20 years in prison. Jurors deliberated for seven days before concluding the doctor had prescribed controlled substances to 68 patients who eventually died. They also found the doctor's prescriptions led to 107 overdoses at local emergency rooms. The jury further determined that the Schneiders failed to change the clinic's prescription practices despite having notice of overdoses and deaths from the medical examiner, hospitals, law enforcement family members and others. The doctor turned to face his wife in apparent surprise when the first guilty verdict on conspiracy to commit health care fraud was read. Both then stared down despondently as the rest of the 17-page verdict form was read. The doctor appeared stoic when his wife tearfully told her parents and teenage daughters in the gallery that she couldn't go with them as U.S. District Judge Monti Belot cleared the courtroom. The family left without commenting to reporters. The doctor's attorney, Lawrence Williamson, said after the verdict that it was "a sad day for our justice system." "Dr. Schneider was practicing medicine – he wasn't being a drug dealer," Williamson said. Siobhan Reynolds, president of the Pain Relief Network, has championed the Schneiders' case. She contends the prosecution of doctors who prescribe high doses of pain relievers is leading to undertreatment of chronic pain. "The crisis in pain treatment is going to deepen even further," Reynolds said outside the courtroom. "People are going to have trouble getting care because doctors are afraid this is going to happen to them."  What pharmaceutical company is funding the pain relief network, and should all medical doctors be worried? Yes, all medical doctors should be worried, because none can watch or trust their patients to take the proper amount of drugs. Sadly, the medical doctors are not through killing our children. Did Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle kill your son or daughter or just get them addicted?

So they got one medical doctor out of thousands just like him, that killed your son and daughter, or got them addicted to drugs. Its not only the medical doctors they need to go after, but the pharmaceutical companies and the politicians that gave them a monopoly and immunity.

Dr. Sober Companion is happy, that one more medical doctor is off the streets, but now the families of all the victims need to come forward and make a bigger case against the pharmaceutical companies for causing over doses, unneeded deaths and unstoppable addictions, that are fueled by the medical industry.

Dr. Sober companion is hoping and praying that another medical doctor does not take the place of this criminal, that killed your son and daughter.

WEST HOLLYWOOD PSYCHIATRIST, OFFICE MANAGER ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF WRITING HUGE NUMBER OF PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ADDICTIVE DRUGS WITHOUT EXAMINING CASH-PAYING ‘PATIENTS’
A doctor who maintains a clinic in West Hollywood and his office manager were arrested this afternoon on federal charges of conspiring to distribute controlled substances for writing thousands of prescriptions for highly addictive drugs for “patients” he did not examine and who simply paid cash for the prescriptions.
Dr. Nathan Kuemmerle, 37, of Hollywood, was arrested without incident at his residence by special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and officers with the Redondo Beach Police Department.
Antonie “Tony” Phillips, 28, of the Koreatown district of Los Angeles, was also arrested without incident this afternoon at Kuemmerle’s clinic.
Both men were charged in a criminal complaint filed on Friday in United States District court that accuses both of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, a charge that carries a penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison.
The arrests follow a joint investigation by the Redondo Beach Police Department and the DEA’s Tactical Diversion Squad, which is charged with investigating all allegations of diversion of legal drugs into the illicit market. The investigation used informants and undercover techniques to develop a 98-page affidavit that outlines how Kuemmerle received patients without appointments, wrote prescriptions for drugs like Adderall and Xanax during meetings that lasted only a few minutes, and took cash payments that he simply stuffed into his pockets.
After analyzing Kuemmerle’s prescribing history and reviewing undercover tapes made at the medical clinic, a San Diego-based psychiatrist concluded that “there is overwhelming evidence that Dr. Kuemmerle is running a quintessential ‘pill mill.’” From the beginning of 2006 through late November 2009, Kuemmerle wrote 14,529 prescriptions for a variety of controlled substances, meaning that he averaged 15 prescriptions during his normal five-hour workday, according to the report by Dr. Steven Ornish, who is also an associate clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego.
“Dr. Kuemmerle’s professional conduct has been egregious, grossly negligent, flagrantly incompetent, and dangerous, and this is not a close call,” Dr. Ornish wrote.
The affidavit in support of the criminal complaint, where Dr. Ornish’s report is summarized, also notes that during 2009 Kuemmerle wrote more prescriptions for the largest available dosage of amphetamine salts – the generic name for Adderall – than any other doctor in California, and that he wrote 3½ times more amphetamine salts prescriptions than the number two prescriber of the drug. The affidavit also notes that an analysis of records from the years 2006 through November 2009 shows that Kuemmerle was the state’s second-largest prescriber of all Schedule II drugs, which include the highly addictive substances amphetamine salts (Adderall), oxycodone (OxyContin), hydrocodone (Vicodin and Norco), and alprazolam (Xanax).
“The misuse of prescription drugs remains a great cause for concern,” said Timothy J. Landrum, the Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in Los Angeles. “In 2008, there were 2.5 million people aged 12 and older who used prescription drugs non-medically for the first time – that is almost 7,000 new users every day. It is unfortunate that any physician would abuse their position of trust in our communities by irresponsibly prescribing these powerful drugs. The DEA is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to ensure physicians such as Dr. Kuemmerle are brought to justice.”
Kuemmerle is a physician specializing in psychiatry who obtained his medical license in 2004. He operates a clinic on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, where Phillips is the office manager. According to the affidavit, Phillips sometimes initially discussed with the “patients” what drugs they wanted, and he often prepared prescriptions for Kuemmerle’s signature.
The investigation into Kuemmerle began in August 2009 when Redondo Beach Police arrested an individual who had offered Adderall for sale on Craigslist. That individual pointed to Kuemmerle as the source of the Adderall, telling the police that Kuemmerle wrote prescriptions on numerous occasions without any medical examination, and that the doctor would write prescriptions for various names during a single visit. According to the affidavit, Kuemmerle later wrote prescriptions for Subutex, which at $15 a tablet was expensive, so the doctor suggested that the individual sell Adderall on Craigslist to help pay for the Subutex, an opiate which is used to treat opiate addictions.
The information from this informant was corroborated by other informants and led to a series of undercover buys by Redondo Beach Police Officers and Special Agents with the DEA, according to the affidavit. The undercover law enforcement officials visited Kuemmerle’s clinic seven times in recent months, and each time they were given prescriptions of Adderall or Xanax in exchange for cash. An undercover police officer received prescriptions for both drugs for $150 during a visit that lasted only eight minutes.
Kuemmerle and Phillips are expected to make their initial court appearances tomorrow in United States District Court in Los Angeles.
A criminal complaint contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
Kuemmerle is the latest medical doctor to be charged in a drug “diversion” case where legitimate medicine is diverted to illegal uses. In an unrelated case, a Duarte doctor is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow afternoon after pleading guilty to distributing huge quantities of painkillers in exchange for cash (see: http://www.justice.gov/usao/cac/pressroom/pr2009/010.html).

In the above press release, an informant was mentioned. Was the informant, david lerman, who posed as patients in many undercover operations for TV shows like NBC's highly rated Today Show? How important was the information provided by the informant for burrying the doctor?

NBC today show drug addiction minus a sober companion spells disaster. NBC was caught replaying the famous doctor shopping segment, minus dr. sober companion (Dr. Rob Tencer DC, BSc), whom originally appeared in the segment.

Dr. sober companion is once again compelled to set the record straight.

It was recently brought to the attention of dr. sober companion, that NBC today show michael jackson doctor shopping segment, featuring dr. Sober companion and the under cover work of david lerman was replayed, this time in connection with the corey haim drug overdose from obtaining drugs from dr. Feelgood, much in the same way that was discovered and presented by dr. sober companion and his guest david lerman.


This time though, the part about dr. Tencer wanting to save lives, was removed from the segment, while keeping david lerman's under cover dr. shopping segment.


We at dr. sober companion wanted to correct a few errors in the NBC today show segment.
First, the person described as working for dr. Sober companion and shown going under cover in dr. feelgood offices to gain the prescriptions was done not by an employee, nor was he ever a patient, but by a person named david lerman, who was so masterful at obtaining prescriptions from doctors, because he himself is an addicted alcoholic and drug addict, who was just showing his own technique of doctor shopping.

Mr. Lerman was not acting as an addict in the segment, and was not employed by dr. Sober companion, he was however compensated by NBC, either in promises or money or both.

Dr. Sober companion was never compensated for appearing on the NBC today show,
and did not ask for compensation. Dr. Sober companion is trying to reveal the truth, and wanted his message to be heard.

I brought david lerman (drug addict) with me to the segment to give the american public a reality of abuse of pharmaceutical drugs by addicts and to show that medical doctors are very involved in aiding drug addicts, with their drug addictions. (It did not turn out as I thought it would, as they removed almost everything I said, and only kept the drug addict scoring prescriptions.)

Its time for the medical profession to bare the blame for killing children. Its also time for pharmaceutical companies to take the blame for producing killing devices, far worse than any street drug, gun or other means of killing.

Its time for everyone who has been brainwashed to snap out of their spell, and see
what is really going on with the medical profession and the pharmaceutical industry, and the politicians who have been bought off, to look the other way. Its time to remove the advertising on TV, billboards and print that is far more life threatening than camel cigarette cartoon ads.

NBC and other networks should be ashamed of themselves for accepting the pharmaceutical industry blood money, or they should also be held accountable for the deaths from drug
addiction and forms of murder such as overdosing.

Its also time to rethink the fake research and testing documents or to place further blame on the FDA, for their complicity in the fraud of the medical industry.

The killing must stop. The murderers must be brought to justice. Dr. Sober companion may have been silenced from his today show appearance, but the truth will always prevail. While mr. Lerman hides behind a vail, has his voice changed, or is seen in shadow, make no mistake, he is being enabled by greedy TV producers who care nothing for an addict, except how well he can score drugs. Mr. Lerman needs help, but after his lies and thefts from dr. Tencer, he is no
longer welcome to come to us.

David Lerman is not the victim of tv producers, because he actually shops his abilities for scoring drugs to the highest bidders.

This kind of madness makes for compelling TV

The only real drug expert is an addict, and the only real sober companion is one that demands total abstinence from enablers and replacement therapies as well as pharmaceutical drugs and street drugs.

Dr. Sober companion's main focus is to keep your children alive and stop them from becoming addicts, and to stop you from enabling your own children without knowing you are the cause of their addictions.

parents do not consider prescription drugs bad

There is a problem in America and other countries where medical doctors and pharmaceutical companies have brainwashed the public into thinking that illegal drugs are bad and prescription drugs are good. PARENTS ARE CLUELESS

Could Dr. Sober Companion have saved Brittany Murphy from dieing so young? The answer is YES, But as a parent, armed with skepticism for ANY prescription drugs given to your children, you can also save your children's lives. Stop being so gullible to the medical industry, who are nothing more than glorified drug pushers.

Many times, prescription drugs are just pharmaceutical grade equivalents for speed (cocaine effects), and similar street drugs. Because they are prescribed, they are seemingly harmless and non-addicting. This is farthest from the truth. Dr. Sober Companion would begin by removing all prescription drugs from your children's environment, and finding why they have been taking them. The menace medical doctor who prescribed them must be stopped, from poisoning any more children.

While I don't talk about removing life sustaining drugs, I do talk about ADD drugs, and other seemingly harmless drugs, that even your child's teacher recommended.

Parents who want the best for their children, send them to drug pushing medical doctors. The parents knowingly allow the prescriptions, and even pay for them, trusting the medical doctor who prescribed them wholeheartedly. Have you ever done this for your children?

You have a problem and cannot completely be blamed, because of your trust of your family doctor. Please wake up to the fact that your medical doctors are really to blame, and all the fake medical research and the good looking (playmate quality) pharmaceutical rep, who lobbies the medical doctor to prescribe their meds.

Dr. Sober Companion knows, that you, as a parent are bombarded daily, by advertising on supposedly ad-free satellite radio, television (especially NBC), and magazines and newspapers. In politics, the pharmaceutical companies spend billions on changing healthcare and inclusion of their drugs while excluding cheaper canadian imports.

Dr. Sober Companion truly believes that Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack does not understand the concept that prescription drugs kill, more than illegal drugs, when he makes the foolish statement: “In all the time I’ve known her, she has never, and I repeat NEVER, done drugs. Not a line of cocaine, not a hit from a joint, nothing. She was anti-drugs. There are no drugs involved. If any were, I would not be on the phone with you,” the agent explains. (he does not refer to any prescription's)

But if no illegal substances were involved in Brittany’s odd actions, then how can the hordes of prescription medication found in the couple’s bathroom be explained?

Brittany’s mother, Sharon Murphy, explains to the Daily Beast that her daughter was diagnosed with a rare heart condition, mitral valve prolapse, and suffered from hypoglycemia, but was only taking Sarafem for menstrual symptoms and Klonepan for anxiety. (what about the other prescription bottles found?)

While Simon and Brittany's mother Sharon are not completely to blame, they were gullable at protecting Brittany from all the prescription drugs that Brittany Murphy consumed. Being on set and protecting a petite and frail actress from mean and obnoxious studio heads and directors was not where Brittany needed the most help.

dr. sober companion is trying to sort out the death of 36 year old, adam michael goldstein aka DJ AM, and I am in disbelief, because know matter how many obstacles in life that was blocking adam michael goldstein aka DJ AM, he got through it, with astonishing success.

Because this is a sober companion blog, and we work on 100% abstinence of drugs and alcohol, and a complete removal of all enablers, we must ask the questions:

Was this a drug overdose at the hands of an over prescribing dr. feelgood medical prescription?

Was this suicide by drug overdose?
We know one thing, thanks to TMZ, prescription pill vials were at the scene of the death. If this was drug related, than dr. sober companion could have saved the life of another young person. Thats a fact!



1. the fat years of DJ AM
DJ AM underwent Gastric Bypass Surgery, which made him thin. While a fat person who instantly becomes thin, can have severe psychological problems, he appeared to overcome that obstacle in life. Although he still ate like a fat person, purchasing oreo cookies, frosted flakes, regular coca cola, cheese wiz, on a trip to a local grocery store. DJ AM was once quoted as saying: “I have to remind myself that I'm a fat crackhead who’s lucky to be alive.”

2. the drug addict alcoholic DJ AM
DJ AM was once quoted about kicking his drug addiction and alcoholism: “I no longer needed a trophy girlfriend or drugs to feel good about myself. It’s been nine and a half years since I’ve had a drink or taken drugs. But every day I have to remind myself that no matter how much time I have behind me, I’m still a drug addict. At any given moment, I’m five seconds away from walking up to someone, grabbing their drink out of their hand and downing it. And if I do that, within a week, tops, I’ll be smoking crack.” DJ AM sounds like a member of AA or NA, in that he still classifies himself as a drug addict, even though he is recovering. dr. sober companion wants to remind the parents of drug addicts and alcoholics seeking help in drug and alcohol rehab, that once someone is a drug addict or alcoholic, they remain one, and that is why it is dangerous to leave your children with a drug addict or alcoholic in a drug rehab facility, no matter how expensive it may be. Sources tell TMZ prescription pill bottles were found near DJ AM's body this afternoon. A law enforcement source on scene tells TMZ a glass "crack pipe" was found in his bedroom. The pill bottles were found in the kitchen.

3. the hobnobbing years of DJ AM
DJ AM was once quoted about his girlfriends: “I no longer needed a trophy girlfriend or drugs to feel good about myself. " appearently, yes you did need something other than drugs to feel good about yourself. Breaking up is very hard and leads to depression.


4. the private jet crash of DJ AM
DJ AM had luck: “Anybody who can survive a plane crash is very lucky.” Thats why dr. sober companion felt, if you have a man that is this lucky, to cheat death, that he could accomplish anything in life. Unfortunately, guilt is very strong, and the death of 4 people on the same flight, may have been to much to handle. Parents can enable their children and unknowingly push their children to near death drug overdoses with their own brand of guilt. Sometimes you need to hire dr. sober companion to remove the enablers, and poisonous people from your childrens lives, including yourselves. (but not permanently)

We're also told DJ AM was having a very hard time dealing with post-traumatic stress from the plane crash he survived in September of last year.

5. the earlier suicide attempts of DJ AM
DJ AM was once quoted about his past suicide attempt: “at 24 I felt like my life was over. I went into my living room, reached into a cabinet above my TV and grabbed my gun, a loaded .22. I sat back on my heels, cocked it and put it into my mouth. I pulled the trigger. The gun didn’t go off. I thought, ‘Are you kidding me? I’m such a fucking failure I can’t even kill myself? I dropped the gun and broke down. That was the turning point in my life.” How many chances in life do people have to cheat death? If you see a destructive pattern is growing, you must take drastic steps as a parent to intercede. One way to intercede is by hiring a sober companion like dr. sober companion, who may be able to distract your child long enough to turn the corner and for them to go in a different direction then suicide.

Some details:

Adam Goldstein — was found dead this afternoon in New York City.Law enforcement sources tell tmz he was found in his apartment at around 5:20 PM.

DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days. One of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door.

The friend called the police, who broke down the door and then found DJ AM’s body.

Sources said drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment. He was 36 years old.



DJ AM was a major attraction and was worth the wait of getting into wherever he was spinning. DJ AM had a unique mix of hip-hop, rock and ‘80s hits that made for a great time on the usually crowded dance floor. Even though DJ AM was not there nightly, LAX usually has a celeb or at least A-List DJ ranging from Steve Aoki to Benji Madden from Good Charlotte or Adam 12 of She Wants Revenge.

DJ AM was sought after around the entire world, and had opened a second club LAX at the luxor in las vegas. club LAX in vegas is known as the hottest club to land in Sin City, LAX Nightclub, continues to rock The Strip with unrivaled parties.

DJ AM dated socialite and reality TV star Nicole Richie and also singer/actress Mandy Moore. DJ AM also was linked to Canadian supermodel Jessica Stam. Basically, DJ AM was a bonafide pimp.

DJ AM was also a former member of the rock band, Crazy Town, known for their hit, “Butterfly”. DJ AM has also scratched on albums for Papa Roach, Madonna, Will Smith and Shifty. DJ AM has played private events for celebs like Jim Carrey, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Stiller, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson. DJ AM had recently collaborated with Travis Barker of blink-182 and +44 in several performances.

DJ AM is also an avid ’sneakerhead’ and collects a variety of athletic shoes, the majority of which are by nike. His collection of over 600 shoes, includes a pair of Nike Air Force 1 shoes that were created specifically for him, with his DJ AM logo appearing on the shoe itself.

Gastric bypass surgery:

First of all, if you didn’t know, DJ AM wasn’t always a skinny guy. Before he dated Nicole Ritchie, he was a fat guy, that underwent Gastric Bypass Surgery. I found this study online which documents my suspicions regarding high suicide rates of patients of gastric bypass/stomach stapling surgery.

October 29, 2007 — Extremely obese Pennsylvania residents undergoing weight loss surgery over a 10-year period had a higher-than-expected mortality rate from suicide, according to a new study appearing in the October issue of Archives of Surgery. The study also uncovered an excess of deaths due to coronary heart disease among these surgery patients.

The large number of deaths from suicides and drug overdoses is “a cause for concern,” the authors, led by Bennet I. Omalu, MD, from the University of Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania, write. The fact that most of these deaths occurred at least 1 year after surgery suggests that “careful follow-up, especially the need to recognize and treat depression, should be provided for patients who have undergone bariatric (gastric bypass) surgery,” they write.



The private jet crash:

The plane that crashed, killing 4, is owned by Global Exec Aviation, a Long Beach-based charter company, and was certified to operate last year, an NTSB official said.

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, has been released from the hospital after suffering injuries from a plane crash that killed four people last week, his rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Adam Goldstein has been released from Doctors hospital,” the rep said in a statement. “While he is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide. We ask that you continue respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends”.

Adam arrived back home on Thursday – by bus.

“That might tell you something about his desire to use or not use airplanes in the future,” Perez said.
But while DJ AM has returned, fellow passenger and TRVSDJ-AM musical collaborator, Travis Barker remains in the hospital.
“[Adam] just said to me to pray for Travis, so that makes me a little concerned that Travis’ injuries might be more severe than his were,” Perez said.

One of the first responders to the crash has said that Barker and DJ AM escaped the flaming wreckage by sliding down the jet’s wing.

“They said the plane went down. They didn’t say how or if they knew,” Lt. Jason Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department told the Associated Press. “Once it went down, they were able to slide down the wing of the plane, and they jumped on each other to put fires on each other out and rolled around on the ground.”

Shumpert said he didn’t know until later that the two badly burned men were former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and celebrity disc jockey DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein. One of their doctors at a Georgia burn hospital said he expects them to fully recover from their second- and third-degree burns.

A video of the Friday night crash scene shot from Shumpert’s police car shows an inferno next to the road, with screams ringing out above the din of sirens of ambulances and fire trucks. Shumpert said the screaming voice belonged to Barker, who was trembling and seemed to be in intense pain as he sat on the sidewalk, waiting for medical help to arrive.

“Travis, you could tell he was in pain,” Shumpert said. “He just kept saying: ‘That’s my friends in the plane, that’s my friends in the plane.’”

Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board have not said what caused the crash. A cockpit voice recorder revealed that crew members thought a tire blew and tried to abort the takeoff. The Learjet shot off the end of the runway, ripped through a fence and crossed a highway before coming to rest, engulfed in flames.

NTSB officials, who have recovered pieces of tire from the runway, planned to return to Washington on Thursday. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., which made the tires, has said it is cooperating with the investigation.

“It was divine intervention that they got out,” he said. “They should be commended for being able to get out and keep their heads together.”

“Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn’t suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected,” said Dr. Fred Mullins of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors’ Hospital in Augusta at a Sunday morning press conference.

Mullins added that recovery from such burns can take as long as a year.

A few months later he launched a lawsuit against the insurance companies that insured the pilots.

TMZ has just obtained documents from the suit DJ AM filed, and he's asking for $20 million dollars... minimum.

DJ AM wants at least $10 million in damages for medical bills, lost earnings and profits and other economic damages, and another $10 million for mental and physical pain he suffered and other "non-economic losses."
